Scholarship Created in Butler's Memory
The science fiction community, while mourning the death of Octavia Butler, has found a way to honor her memory with a scholarship fund for writers of color who want to attend the Clarion science-fiction writing workshops. Butler was one of the students in the original Clarion class of 1970, and returned to the workshops often as a teacher.
