Baby’s First Book Party

Authors Christopher Sorrentino and Minna Proctor hold Minna’s six-week-old son, Isaac, as the Donadio & Olson holiday party winds down last night. Many of the evening’s other literary guests, including Soft Skull publisher Richard Nash and authors Ren&#233 Steinke and Sam Lipsyte, hovered around the little charmer once he awoke from his nap in one of those front-loaded harnesses parents are always wearing. But we also discussed book-ish matters as well, as when PW chief Sara Nelson and I compared notes on the industry’s reaction to the Regan firing, or D&O agent Ira Silverberg ribbed me about what a scandal rag this blog has turned into since the start of 2006. (It’s a fair cop, but society is to blame!)
