Barack Obama Sells Books Overseas, Too

After seeing yesterday’s item about the Barack Obama reading list display at Manhattan’s McNally Jackson, Viking assistant director of publicity Yen Cheong sent us this photograph she took last month at a Singapore branch of Books Kinokuniya. It’s a very bipartisan display: In addition to our new president’s own memoirs, like The Audacity of Hope, it also includes biographies like Obama: From Promise to Power, and even Obama: The Postmodern Coup, which suggests Obama is a “Manchurian Candidate” whose strings are being pulled by Zbigniew Brzezinski to instigate a global conflict with Russia and China. Sure, it sounds kooky, but, you know, we don’t see it in this picture, but we imagine there’s probably a few copies of Obama Nation stacked on that table, too.
