My Novel “Book of Color” Pick of the Day is Going Down South (One World) written by Black American author, Bonnie J. Glover. It is a multi-generational portrayal of three strong-willed Black American women who are forced to be under one roof when the granddaughter, Olivia finds her self a teen mother.

This is Glover’s sophomore book. The first book, The Middle Sister received many accolades. Going Down South is well-deserving of the praise that it has received and is the type of book that will likely receive word of mouth support from the lovers of such books as The Secret Life of Bees or perhaps even Waiting to Exhale.
