BookHounds & GalleyCats Launch Our Pet Parade

In the photo embedded above, Schatze, the original BookHound, climbs over an ARC mountain. Thanks to Mary from BookHounds for sending the picture.

Welcome to GalleyCat’s annual pet parade, a holiday display of literary pets around the globe. GalleyCat readers have sent in pictures all week–the largest response we’ve ever received to the pet parade. Look for more pet pictures over the next week.

More photos follow below. Click to enlarge the individual photos.

Gallery|Pocket senior editor Abby Zidle sent the picture embedded above. Here’s more: :Here’s Wally, dressed in his tuxedo and ready for a Christmas soiree…he was a shelter cat whom we adopted from the ASPCA, but he’s developed a taste for the finer things.  He’s always eager to help edit, mostly by hand-deckling manuscript edges with his claws.  He also loves to be spun every day on our kitchen floor.”

Stone Arch Books graphic designer Emily Harris sent the bespectacled pup photo embedded above: “Here are some photos of my pup (Sneakers) reading some of the books from the Katie Woo series, published by Picture Window Books.”

Author Liane Kupferberg Carter sent that photo embedded above: :Our cat Ketzel always tries to catch the cursor. She thinks it’s a touch screen. Happy holidays.”

Reader Jcopek sent in the picture embedded above of a literary cat.
