Shelf Awareness has more details on the new program launched by Hudson Booksellers, which operates 66 bookstores and sells books in more
than 400 Hudson News newsstands in North American airports, train
stations and other travel spots. As of December 1, the 20 titles will be prominently displayed in all Hudson Booksellers and large Hudson News stores. "The list was created to help airport travelers make quick, educated buying decisions during the holiday season," Sara Hinckley, v-p, book buying and promotions, said in a statement.
The overall "winner" is Charles Frazier for THIRTEEN MOONS, but the full fiction list includes Michael Cox's THE MEANING OF NIGHT, Sara Gruen's WATER FOR ELEPHANTS and Christopher Moore's A DIRTY JOB, while the non-fiction roundup features COLLAPSE by Jared Diamond, THE DEVIL'S TEETH by Susan Casey & THUNDERSTRUCK by Erik Larson.
