Starbucks to Sell Norman Ollestad Memoir
Yesterday Starbucks announced that the nonfiction book, out from HarperCollins' Ecco, is the coffee company's next book program selection. The book tells Ollestad's amazing true story--how he survived a mountain plane crash as an 11-year-old boy. As GalleyCat reported, the Starbucks program sells thousands and thousands of copies. Starbucks' VP of brand content, Chris Bruzzo, had this statement: "When selecting a book to carry in our stores we seek out well-written, thought-provoking pieces that spur conversation ... [it] is the right book for right now. It's a life-affirming tale that gave us pause to reflect on thriving in the face of adversity. Ultimately, it's a story about a father and a son, and that makes it a perfect gift for Father's Day." Email This Post |
