Borders Not Done with New Zealand?

So yesterday we were hearing about Borders‘ plans for international contraction. The news doesn’t appear to have reached the southern hemisphere, as a superstore opens in Wellington, New Zealand this week, a 2,000-square-meter space in the Lambton Quay neighborhood, which already has four bookstores. And, according to the NZ press, Borders will open two more branches in Auckland by the end of the year.
