Cancer Vixen Underwrites Free Mammograms

Today is National Mammography Day, and Cancer Vixen author Marisa Acocella Marchetto is sponsoring free breast exams at St. Vincent’s Comprehensive Cancer Center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today for women 40 or older (35 if there’s a history of breast cancer in your family already). The center is located at 325 West 15th St. If you live/work in the city, and this is something you’ve been putting off because you’ve been worried about how to afford it, I strongly encourage you not to bother coming back to the office after work—go and have the exam done.
