Audible Launches a ‘Hamlet’-Themed #VineThatLine Campaign

Audible has launched a new Vine channel in honor of its recent release, Hamlet, Prince of Denmark: A Novel. Richard Armitage, the actor who plays Thorin Oakenshield in Peter Jackson’s Hobbit film trilogy, serves as the narrator.

To celebrate this new audiobook, the company has initiated the #VineThatLine campaign. From May 19th to 23rd, participants have been asked to create their own Vines reciting one of William Shakespeare’s most famous lines: “To be or not to be.”

Submissions have been turned in from ArmitageThe Goonies actor Corey Feldman, hip hop artist Ice-T, and Heroes actor Greg Grunberg. The video embedded above features Grunberg giving an “offbeat” performance. What is your favorite Shakespearean quote?

Neil Patrick Harris has revealed the cover for his forthcoming “Choose Your Own Adventure”-style autobiography on Twitter.

Crown will release Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography on October 14th. Thus far, the Tony-nominated actor’s tweet has drawn more than 4,000 “favorites”–what do you think?

Fair warning, the book blurb for this seemingly lighthearted book advises readers to enjoy it with caution: “Choose correctly and you’ll find fame, fortune, and true love. Choose incorrectly and you’ll find misery, heartbreak, and a guest stint on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. All this, plus magic tricks, cocktail recipes, embarrassing pictures from your time as a child actor, and even a closing song.”

Jennifer Lopez Lands Deal For ‘True Love’ Memoir

JLoEntertainer Jennifer Lopez (pictured, via) has landed a deal with Penguin imprint Celebra for her memoir, True Love.

According to USA Today, the publisher describes the project as “a revealing personal diary.” It chronicles Lopez’s “transformative two-year journey of how, as an artist and a mother, she confronted her greatest challenges, identified her biggest fears, and ultimately emerged a stronger person than she’s ever been.”

The book will contain never-before-seen photos. English and Spanish language editions will be simultaneously released on October 28, 2014.

Disney Reveals Teaser Trailer For Live-Action ‘Cinderella’ Movie

Disney has unveiled a teaser trailer the live-action Cinderella film adaptation.

The story is based on Charles Perrault’s beloved fairy tale. A release date has been scheduled for March 13, 2015.

Thor director Kenneth Branagh took the helm of this project. The cast includes Les Miserables actress Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother, Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden as Prince Charming, and Downton Abbey actress Lily James in the titular role.

‘The Hunger Games Exclusive’ Website Offers Fans First Look at ‘Mockingjay Part 1′ Film

Lionsgate has launched TheHungerGamesExclusive.com to give fans their first look at the next installment of The Hunger Games film franchise, Mockingjay Part 1. The Facebook announcement has drawn more than 48,000 “likes.”

Visitors who explore the website will find notes from a filmmaker roundtable, excerpts from the script, and a Mockingjay motion poster. The photos feature Julianne Moore dressed as Alma Coin, Woody Harrelson playing mentor Haymitch Abernathy, and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman portraying head gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee.

In the video embedded above, Moore sits for an interview and shares her thoughts on Suzanne Collins’ books, the characters, and the story itself. Mockingjay Part 1 will hit theaters on November 21, 2014. Mockingjay Part 2 is set to follow on November 20, 2015. What do you think? (via BuzzFeed)

‘Harry Potter’ Movie Stars Reprise Their Roles For ‘Harry Potter & the Escape From Gringotts’ Ride

Harry Potter movie stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson reunited and reprised their roles as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. These new scenes will be part of a film that accompanies the “Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts” ride in the Diagon Alley section of the Harry Potter World theme park.

The video embedded above features executives from Universal Orlando Resort discussing the details behind this ride. MTV interviewed Alan Gilbert, an art director who worked on both the “Gringotts” ride and the Harry Potter films, who confirmed the actors’ involvement. He also revealed that Warwick Davis and Helena Bonham-Carter also came back to play Griphook and Bellatrix Lestrange.

The Huffington Post spoke with Thierry Coup, the senior vice president of Universal Creative, who explained that “J.K. Rowling actually gave us a lot of creative leeway…You see, the story that we wanted to tell with this Universal Orlando attraction kind of ran concurrently with the events which occurred during Deathly Hallows. You see, our guests just happen to be at Gringotts Wizarding Bank opening a new account on the exact same day that Harry, Ron and Hermione are trying to break into Bellatrix Lestrange’s vault to retrieve a horcrux.” (via Complex)

Freddie Mercury Stars in Comic Book

Freddie MercuryBluewater Productions has created a biographical comic book profiling the legendary musician Freddie Mercury for their Tribute series.

Mike Lynch and Manuel Díaz worked together to pen the story. Michael Troy and Graham Hill created seven alternate exclusive covers for this project.

His childhood in the paradise island of Zanzibar, his exile to England, and then going on to become the front man for one of the greatest bands of all time Queen.”

Octavia Spencer Cast in ‘Insurgent’ Adaptation

octaviaOscar winner Octavia Spencer has joined the cast of the Divergent film franchise. In the Insurgent film adaptation, Spencer will play Amity faction leader Johanna.

According to The Los Angeles Times, The Time Traveler’s Wife director Robert Schwentke will helm this project. Screenwriters Akiva Goldsman and Brian Duffield will collaborate on the script.

This sequel film will showcase “Tris’ journey as war between the factions looms, and she and compatriot Four (Theo James) are fugitives fleeing from the ruthless Erudite leader Jeanine (Kate Winslet).” Summit Entertainment has set a release date for March 20, 2015.

Disney Unveils Trailer For ‘Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’

Disney has released the trailer the Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day film adaptation. The video embedded above features scenes with Steve Carell, Jennifer Garner, and Ed Oxenbould.

Several changes have been made to Judith Viorst’s original story in this book-to-movie translation. According to Time, “one of Alexander’s brothers has become a sister, and instead of just Alexander having a bad day, the whole family seems to be having a rough time.” A theatrical release date has been set for October 10, 2014.

Hayley Atwell to Star in the ‘Marvel’s Agent Carter’ TV Series

Agent CarterMarvel has developed a new TV show for Captain America fans starring the superhero’s love interest, Agent Carter.

Actress Hayley Atwell (pictured, via) was first introduced as Peggy Carter in the Captain America: The First Avenger film adaptation. Atwell played this character again in a short film called Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter. She has signed on to reprise her role for this new series and is currently filming The Avengers: Age of Ultron movie.
