Ambulant has created an ergonomic eReader case called the Wingo. They hope to raise $55,000 on Kickstarter to cover the costs of manufacturing the product.

The Wingo is a simple but elegant solution to the growing dilemma of how to hold tablet devices without undue effort, strain or fatigue, especially when using only one hand. Its “wings” virtually hold onto the user’s hand, negating the need for the user to pinch the device and carry the burden of the weight with the finger tips. I think that it represents a valuable ergonomic option for frequent users of such devices.

Each card will showcase a quote from Herman Melville‘s beloved novel. The finished product will feature a deck that consists of more than 100 unique cards, 40 custom oil makers, 2 dice, and a rule book. Sarah Weichel helped with the Indiegogo campaign for Hello, Harto!, raising nearly $223,000 for to take a show on the road. She revealed that most fans wanted to spend between $20 and $50 for the campaign.

Weichel’s campaign offered a number of perks, including buttons, t-shirts, doodles and other tangible rewards for backers. Weichel explained that the best perks should be customized and tangible: “[Fans] want something you have touched or made custom for them in some way.”

Pretty Woman producer Gary W. Goldstein hopes to raise $12,000 to self-publish his book, The Writer’s Guide to Hollywood.

Freckless Productions will release The Phantom Tollbooth Turns 50 documentary this summer. Back in November 2011, director Hannah Jayanti raised $31,000 on Kickstarter to cover the production costs.

Instead, he created Milo. When he showed his notes to his neighbor, a young political cartoonist bent on overthrowing the government, Jules began sketching – and The Phantom Tollbooth was born.
