Derek talks about growing up in Little Rock, his record-breaking career in college at the University of Arkansas, and helping the Los Angeles Lakers to the NBA championship.

Derek also discusses how the power of his faith helped him and his wife deal with the diagnosis of his nine-month old daughter’s retinoblastoma. Derek has always placed his family in the forefront of his life and left the Utah Jazz in order to be by her side. When Derek returned to the game in 2008, he helped lead them to back-to-back championships.
