Chick-Literati Come to See Movie Star
A few months ago, I mentioned the Amy Tangerine T-shirts that had been designed for Kristin Harmel’s debut novel, How to Sleep with a Movie Star. Last night, Harmel (on the far right, in her shirt) came to New York to debut the book—and the shirts—at the Village boutique Olive & Bette’s. A number of Harmel’s fellow chick-lit writers came out to help her celebrate, including (from left) Julie KL Dam (just published Some Like It Haute), Alison Pace (about to publish her second novel, Pug Hill), Sarah Mlynowski (quite a few things coming out soon, including a chick-lit how-to with former Red Dress editor Farrin Jacobs called See Jane Write), and Lynda Curnyn (who’ll be reading a story connected to her next novel, My Inner Brunette, next Tuesday at the Cornelia Street Café).
