Coulter vs. NYPost:So Sad When ‘Wingers Can’t Get Along
Ann Coulter has come out swinging in response to Monday’s NY Post story accusing her of plagiarism with a non-denial denial in her latest column (quoted in yesterday’s Editor & Publisher) in which she describes the Post as “New York’s second-crappiest paper” and sneers, “I have sold a lot of books—more books, come to think of it, than any writers at the New York Post.” To which we have just three words—Elvis: What Happened? (OK, maybe two more words to explain the first three to the young’uns: Steve Dunleavy.)
Remember, though, the upshot of all Coulter’s pie-throwing antics is that she never actually denies that she’s a plagiarist, which becomes more significant as Universal Press Syndicate, which distributes her column to newspapers across the country, has indicated that it’s taking the charges seriously. And, considering that Coulter’s also a lawyer, it’ll be curious to see what the Character and Fitness Committee of whichever bar association she’s affiliated with these days (New York? D.C.?) makes of the situation…if those potential felony charges for Florida voter fraud don’t catch up with her first.
