Dick Cheney Memoir to Reveal “Heated Arguments” with George W. Bush

225px-Richard_Cheney_2005_official_portrait.jpgThe gloves will come off in former Vice President Dick Cheney‘s upcoming memoir, the Washington Post reports.

Recently Cheney held informal talks with “authors, diplomats, [and] policy experts” about his book, which sold in a deal “likely worth at least $2 million,” according to the AP. An attendee of one such conversation said that the former VP felt that George W. Bush “had hardened against Cheney’s advice” towards the end of his presidency. The memoir is scheduled for publication in Spring 2011, a few months after Bush’s memoir hits bookstores.

Here’s another excerpt, about Cheney’s quarrel with Bush over a presidential pardon: “[H]e accused Bush of abandoning ‘an innocent man’ who had served the president with honor and then become the ‘victim of a severe miscarriage of justice.’ Cheney now says privately that his memoir, expected to be published in spring 2011, will describe their heated arguments in full.”
