Disney Adapts Bambi Into An App

Disney has taken its classic children’s film Bambi (which is based on the book Bambi, A Life in the Woods) and turned it into the Bambi: Disney Classics app.

The $3.99 app tells the story with original drawings and text, but includes new interactive features for the digital age. Users can play a matching game, “color”, and tap a tune in the classic Disney forest.

The company has been actively releasing digital versions of classic books for the last couple of years. AppNewser has more: “Disney has been actively releasing apps ever since the iPad launched in April 201o. The publisher has put out digital versions of its Toy Story franchise, puzzle books starring Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse. Bambi is the fourth in the ‘Disney Classics’ app series, which also includes digital versions of The AristocatsThe Jungle Book and Peter Pan.”
