Driver in Halberstam’s Vehicular Manslaughter Sentenced

0214halberstam.jpgFrom FishbowlNY: The graduate student who was behind the wheel in David Halberstam‘s fatal car crash last April has been sentenced to five days in jail and 200 hours of community service. According to SF Chronicle reporter John Coté, “[Kevin] Jones apologized in court to Halberstam’s family and said he would dedicate his journalism career to trying to live up to Halberstam’s ideals.”
