Eat, Pray, Read
Last week, we asked GalleyCat readers: What book torched your romance? You bombarded our inbox with tales of burnt-out love and passionate literary opinions.
A few books even drove readers to divorce, as this unhappy reader can attest: “I worked while my first husband spent six years in grad school earning a Ph.D. in psychology. The day he brought home a copy of Wayne Dyer’s YOUR ERRONEOUS ZONES and told me I needed to read it, I knew the flame was out. We were divorced within a year,” she wrote.
Due to GalleyCat’s chronic inability to perform simple mathematical functions, there are still a few books leftover from that original contest. So today, we pose a new, happier question: What book ignited your love for reading?
Email GalleyCat your answer and your address, and we’ll send a few lucky readers a free copy of An Arsonist’s Guide to Writers’ Homes in New England, compliments of Algonquin Books.
