FBLA: Madeleine Albright’s Memo to the President
FishbowlLA editor Mayrav Saar went to the Barnes & Noble at The Grove Wednesday night to see former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright talk about her new book, Memo To the President: How We Can Restore America’s Reputation and Leadership. Saar reports that Albright spoke for about forty minutes, and then took questions from the audience, including one fellow who must have been waiting for years for the opportunity to rub Albright’s “gotcha journalism” moment in her face all over again. (Even Albright says the interview, where she justified the death of Iraqi children under U.S.-imposed economic sanctions against Saddam Hussein, was “the single stupidest thing I have ever said in my life.”) Now that guy can look forward to his trip to B&N in 2020 to remind Laura Albert how she used to be JT Leroy…
