Firebrand Re-Ignites, Breaks Out the Summer Wine

Michael Stearns, Elana Roth, and Ted Malawer of Firebrand Literary celebrate a relaunch of the agency founded by Nadia Cornier (who was just out of camera range) three years ago—and the creation of a new packaging firm called Tinderbox—with a tasting party at the Wine Cellar that drew dozens of agents and editors from the YA publishing community. Stearns, who joined the firm earlier this year after fifteen years on the editorial side of the fence, noted that Firebrand plans to expand even further, and may add another two agents to its team in the near future.
