George W. Bush Details Memoir Plans

bush.jpgOne week after Laura Bush sold her book, President George W. Bush confirmed that he will write a book. During an exit interview with Brit Hume on Fox News Sunday, the President described his plans for a memoir–hinting at acts of painstaking historical reconstruction.

According to President Bush, the book will be about “the toughest decisions I had to make as President and the context in which I made them … It’s very hard for people to remember what life was like a mere four to five years ago. And it’s going to be very important for me to recreate the environment in which I made a decision. Particularly the environment after September 11, 2001.”

The Huffington Post has video of the memoir interview. President Bush managed to duck Hume’s attempts to get a time-table for the book, but thought his “Type-A personality” would guarantee a swiftly delivered manuscript.
