Happiness Is… One More Dog Picture

So Rock the Vote went down to San Diego for Comic-Con last month as part of a campaign that ropes characters from Peanuts into a mock presidential election, with a Peanuts Rock the Vote website and a DVD of You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown coming out in October. (That’s the one where Linus almost becomes student body president—until he starts talking about the Great Pumpkin.) Take a volunteer in a Snoopy costume, add a few celebrities who were already at the convention hall to promote their own projects, like Family Guy cast member and Robot Chicken creator Seth Green, give them election-themed T-shirts, and you’ve got yourself a set of publicity stills.

(Fun fact from the press release: “Snoopy became so popular as a write-in candidate in the real elections of 1968 and 1972 that the California legislature passed a law making it illegal to enter the name of a fictional character on the ballot.”)

Hmm… Seth Green? You think he mentioned the Linus-Sally Misery parody from Robot Chicken or the Great Pumpkin horror film during the shoot?
