Introducing Author, Michael Buckley

Today’s Author Pick of the Day is Michael Buckley, author of the hilarious new series of books called, N.E.R.D.S. (Abrams) I had been waiting for this book to come out for months and harrassed the publicist night and day to receive a review copy of it.

Buckley is already the author of the New York Times bestselling series and Today Show Al Roker Book Club pick, The Sisters Grimm. He has also written and developed shows for Nickelodeon, Disney, MTV Animation.

In his latest book, it tells the story of undercover agents ensuing international espionage danger and excitement. Oh, and one more thing, Buckley’s characters are a bunch of nerdy elementary school kids. Yes, kid spies.

This book is hilarious from the get-go and from page one with the creative way they handled the title page alone, it really set the mood. Kids 6-12 will love this book, especially boy readers.

It may take some time for N.E.R.D.S. (Abrams) to build up some momentum, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it becomes the next hottest thing for young readers and goes head-to-head with the Wimpy Kid series.
