slaughter23.jpgThriller novelist Karin Slaughter has inked a deal with Delacorte Press for two new novels.

Editor Kate Miciak negotiated the deal for US and Canadian rights with Victoria Sanders of Victoria Sanders Associates. The first novel, Fallen, will be released in May 2011. Set in Atlanta, the novel will include characters from both her Atlanta series and her Grant County series.

Ballantine/Bantam Dell division publisher Libby McGuire had this statement: “She is a #1 bestseller internationally and that is the goal here.” The release also noted: “Slaughter’s novels, worldwide, have over twenty million copies in print, sold in 30 territories, and have graced numerous end-of-year best-of lists.” (Author photo by Alison Rosa)
