Last Twinge of Olsen Squeaky Cleanliness Snuff-ed Out?
Hey, remember last month when Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen got that book deal to dish on the “respected artists [and] seasoned designers” who’ve informed their sense of style, and we found out Influence, as it’s called, would be designed by the very cutting-edge Rodrigo Corral? He being the fellow who created the cover for A Million Little Pieces, along with most of the visually arresting images gracing Chuck Palahniuk‘s book covers.

That includes Palahniuk’s latest, Snuff, which is coming out in May from Doubleday but already fetching around $70 from eager fans on eBay willing to bid on the galley. It really is a striking cover, especially when you get <a href="a closer look at the detailing. The novel uses that real-life incident from a few years back where a porn star had sex with hundreds of guys in a row as its starting point, and then presumably goes off in all sorts of Palahniukian directions. Not exactly the sort of thing one would have associated, even indirectly, with the Olsen twins of yore, although I suppose that bit of history had long since passed… On the other hand, this gives one hope that Influence will be the snazziest YA coffee table book ever.
