It's one of those nights when everybody seems to be doing something. Philip Gourevitch and Peter Carey will be at the Union Square Barnes & Noble, talking about Picador's second collection of Paris Review interviews, while Judith Thurman reads from Cleopatra's Nose at 192 Books. Tupelo Press poets Carol Ann Davis and Michael Chitwood will read from their work at Poets House. Rachel Kramer Bussel's latest round of "In the Flesh" readings at Happy Ending features, among others, Anna David, and Kimberlee Auerbach.

And it's Impetus Press night at McNally Robinson, as co-publisher and novelist Jennifer Banash joins Christian TeBordo and Dave Housley for the independent publishing company's first event in New York since being "adopted" by Fractured Atlas,a non-profit dedicated to supporting artists and arts organizations. Tax-deductible donations can now be made to Impetus through Fractured Atlas, which will help support the imprint's expansion; Banash reports that she and co-publisher Willy Blackmore will be adding nonfiction to their offerings beginning in 2008.
