Allia Zobel Nolan, author of over 140 books was signing her latest, PURR MORE, HISS LESS:HEAVENLY LESSONS I LEARNED FROM MY CAT at Borders, in Wilton, Connecticut this past Saturday, with the help of some tiny, eight-week-old purrballs from Pet Animal Welfare Society Shelter in Norwalk.
The author, best known for her classic, 101 REASONS WHY A CAT IS BETTER THAN A MAN, couldn't bring her own puddies, as they "don't travel well," So she approached the shelter where she volunteers for a loan of 3 kitties. Turned out a win-win situation... though the author admits... "The kittens got way more attention than I did."
The good news is that all three kittens found homes. According to Nolan
they weren't allowed to adopt "on the spot," as the shelter must do a background check (they are very strict with their puddies).
But one couple came in,....didn't buy a book....but went right down to the shelter to put their names in for one (or more???) of the kittens.
