Dog Days 2008: Speck on Writing on Spec
"I got up to make a cup of coffee," says film editor, freelance writer and aspiring novelist Debbie Zeitman, "and when I returned, Speck, my ten-pond chihuahua, had taken over my workspace, cozied up beside my cellphone and upon my writing pad, eyes glued to the computer. I'm awaiting his critique of my work-in-progress any day now."
