Loompanics Closing Its Doors Forever

The Reason blog reports that Loompanics Unlimited is going out of business. And that means the anarchist’s dream bookstore is selling everything at half-price. In a special messsage on the Loompanics website, owner Mike Hoy (along with the lovely Miss Demeanor) explains how declining revenues and a desire for change led to the decision, and says farewell:

I don’t expect any of you good citizens will have much need for books like Direct Action & Sabotage or How to Make Drivers Licenses and Other ID on Your Home Computer, but there’s also historically significant tomes like Abbie Hoffman’s Revolution for the Hell of It and Clarence Darrow’s Resist Not Evil, in which the famed attorney argues against the very existence of the criminal justice system. Try finding that at your local superstore!
