PW Daily adds a new twist to today’s formal shutdown of ReganBooks: HarperCollins has also decided it doesn’t want to publish Peter Golenbock‘s 7, the fictional Mickey Mantle autobiography that created the final straw in the contentious relationship between Harper and Judith Regan. Says Harper/Morrow group publisher Michael Morrison of the conversations with Golenbock that led to the decision, “We both decided it was better if Peter didn’t publish this book with us.”
