Mediabistro.com Book Club

0912_bookclub_150x100.jpgIn an ongoing effort to build community among readers, writers, and publishing types, we are introducing the mediabistro.com book club–a series of parties where authors can show off their books.

At these new events, four authors will mingle and share drinks with mediabistro.com readers and read a two minute selection from their work. Featured authors will be mentioned (and linked to) in 30,000 party email invitations. mediabistro.com will also photograph the event and post all pictures to Flickr. The parties will be held on these dates next year: March 9, 2010; May 12, 2010; August 17, 2010; and November 17, 2010.

Here’s more from the release (including application details): “To be considered, please apply at least two months prior to the party you would like to be included in. You will be notified of your acceptance one month prior to the party. Parties will be held quarterly and co-hosted by mediabistro.com GalleyCat editors. One application per literary work, please.”
