Richard Bach, author of Jonathan Livingston Seagull and Illusions, has published a Kindle Single called Illusions II: The Adventures of a Reluctant Student. The work is a sequel to his 1977 bestseller. The new book focuses on Bach’s near-death experience in a plane crash in 2012.
“I never planned to write a follow-up to Illusions,” explained Bach in a statement. “But after I was very nearly destroyed in an accident aboard my seaplane, I wondered if it were not an accident at all, but a test. Kindle Singles gave me the opportunity to share my story immediately.”
Bach joins authors Stephen King, Christopher Hitchens, Susan Orlean and Nelson DeMille in publishing short form content exclusively through the Kindle Store. These essays and short stories range in length from 5,000 and 30,000 words.
