New College Textbook Rental Partnership

BookSwim.com_logo_180w.jpgWith recession budgets looming over universities, two book rental companies have teamed up to help college students rent textbooks.

BookSwim, a rental company founded in 2007, has partnered with BookRenter to fill an expected surge in book rentals during these tough economic times. Users can search via BookSwim’s new textbook page, and the orders will be filled via the BookRenter stock. The base BookSwim subscription plan is $9.95 a month, some allowing users to rent up to eleven books at one time.

From the release: “This partnership is timely and relevant: research shows that more students will pursue higher education because of the constricting job market, and the rising cost of textbooks, combined with fewer personal funds available for education, demand better cost management.”
