Occupy Writers Seeks Submissions

On the Morning Media Menu yesterday, we interviewed Kiera Feldman, one of the co-founders of the Occupy Writers movement.

The simple page has more than 2,000 signatures from authors voicing support for “Occupy Wall Street and the Occupy Movement around the world,” as well as stories by a number of authors. Follow this link to submit your stories about the Occupy movement to the new site.

Here’s an excerpt from the interview: “We’re just one website, and  but it’s great if people send us their dispatches from the field, whether its poetry, fiction or argumentative essays. We eventually hope to publish everything that gets sent to us, volunteer manpower willing. We have a back-log of a couple weeks if people are wondering why their writing hasn’t appeared on the website immediately. Whatever you can do is great–writing for your local alt-weekly, blogging or tweeting. It’s kind of an all-hands on deck situation.”
