Despite wasting what amounted to a small country’s GNP on David Mitchell, Booker bettors are already begging Ladbrokes for this year’s odds. Ladbrokes, the Telegraph reports, has happily complied, “tipping Ian McEwan’s Saturday to win this year’s Man Booker Prize at odds of 4-1 – even though the shortlist is not announced until September.”
