Love Non-Fiction? Palgrave Macmillan Seeks a New Senior Editor
Those who are drawn to non-fiction, and have an interest in academia will be happy to know that Palgrave Macmillan is looking for a new senior editor (or editor, depending on experience) for its New York office.
If hired, you’ll be responsible for acquiring and editing 15-20 new titles per year. You’ll have an editorial assistant, but writing launch sheets, tip sheets, catalog copy, jacket copy and audio presentations will still be on you. You’ll also be collaborating with production, sales, marketing, publicity and other departments, so a team player mentality is a must.
Those with an editing background and strong relationships with literary agents are most ideal. You should be comfortable working with authors on all aspects of publication, and have exceptional writing skills with a strong eye for detail. Interested? Apply here.
