Congratulations to the Writers Studio, which recently celebrated twenty years of providing personalized instruction in the craft of writing. What started out in Philip Schultz's apartment has now grown into a series of workshops that regularly draw more than 200 students each. Poet Grace Schulman (below, left) was among the many writers who joined Schultz in commemorating the at an all-star reading held just off Washington Square Park; the roster of literati also featured Carl Dennis, Jennifer Egan, Julia Glass, Matthew Klam, Martha McPhee, Edward Hirsch, and former poet laureate Robert Pinsky.
