Featured Book of Color
It's so nice to see that publishers are starting to put out books for people of color that are not only urban-esque. In Angela Benson's Up Pops the Devil (Avon) she sucks the reader into a story entangled with drama, drama, drama. It can be enjoyed by people who are not of color as well because it features a wealthy mother of two named Tanya, her lover's sister Loretta, and Preacher, a man with a past in a story with spiritual overtones. This novel will appeal to fans of Kimberla Lawson Roby and the new crop of other Black American authors who have expanded beyond the street fiction that has flooded the market.
