Pro-Obama Books Finding Their Market Space

Earlier this year, IDW Publishing put out two “Presidential Material” comic book biographies, one for Barack Obama and the other for John McCain. This morning, ICV2 has a report on the sales figures: 59 percent of comic book fans preferred Obama, “based on sell-in to direct market comic retailers, which can serve as a close proxy for actual sales to consumers.”

Meanwhile, UnBeige editor Stephanie Murg alerted us to an Obama campaign photo album from PowerHouse Books, collecting more than 200 of the photographs that Scout Tufankjian took during nearly two years following the presidential candidate, going back even before his formal announcement in Springfield in early 2007. Yes We Can is scheduled for release next month.
