Richard Tomlinson has spent most of the last decade fighting his former employers. First, he was fired in 1995 after four years in the foreign arm of British secret intelligence and spent a year in a maximum security prison for publishing a book about his time in MI6. And now that he's trying to publish a novel, the Register reports, the reaction isn't exactly much better, as the spy branch has shut down his first blog and raided his boat and house in France.
So he's gone and posted the first chapter of THE GOLDEN CHAIN, which Tomlinson calls "in potentially breach of the Official Secrets Act, on his blog. That should really get their hackles up...
