Ever since Hachette Livre took over Time Warner Book Group's properties, there's been plenty of reorganization afoot on both sides of the Atlantic. The latest concerns Headline, which will now be known as the Headline Publishing Group. Several major promotions and appointments have been made as part of the change. Kerr McRae, while remaining Deputy MD, will also become Chief Operating Officer, and Jane Morpeth will be co-Deputy MD.
"The time has come for Headline, and indeed Hodder, to become a group of imprints in the same way that other companies under the Hachette umbrella are," Martin Neild, MD of Headline and of Hodder Headline, told Publishing News. "It gives a number of senior editorial people responsibility for growing their own imprints."
