Quirk Mingles Jane Austen and Sea Monsters

sense.jpgQuirk Books surprised the publishing world as “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” became a bestseller earlier this year. Now they hope to do it again with a book full of giant lobsters, octopi, sea serpents, pirates, and Austen.

Today on the Morning Media Menu, we broke news of Quirk Books’ new title: “Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters” by Jane Austen and Ben H. Winters. The book is scheduled for a September 15, 2009 release.

Check it out: “With ‘Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters,’ Quirk Classics has also developed a new Austen to monster ratio. Instead of featuring 85% of Austen’s work and 15% new text as in ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies,’ Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters features 60% Austen and 40% additional monster chaos!”
