Scene @ Editrixie Launch Party
The “launch party” for freelance editorial services provider Editrixie wasn’t a blowout affair, more like a small reception in a downtown living room, but it was still fun. Coming from my own party, I arrived just as authors Rebecca Donner and Sarah Goodyear were heading out, but I did managed to bring Editrixie’s three principals—Joanna Yas, Janet Steen, and Rebecca Wolff—together for a group portrait. The three editors have extensive pedigrees in the literary and publishing worlds: Yas is the editor of Open City, Wolff runs Fence, and Steen was the books editor at Time Out New York (and, we should add, teaches pop culture journalism for mediabistro.com).
