Scene @ Secrets of the Model Dorm Party
Much as we’d like to cover every single book party in New York ourselves, we’ve found it impossible to be everywhere. Take last Thursday night, for example: While I was standing in line at the Dallas/Fort Worth airport car rental center, model Amanda Kerlin and fashion blogger Phil Oh were at the Tribeca Grand celebrating the publication of their novel, Secrets of the Model Dorm, which has all the sex and drugs you’d expect in a story about “beautiful girls, dropped in the middle of the most exciting city in the world, crammed together in a ten-by-twelve bedroom.” The ‘Cats may not have been there, but Merlin Bronques of Lastnightsparty.com was kind enough to pass along this photo of the two authors by way of their publicists at Atria Books, and I’d like to return the favor by letting you know you can see a lot more pictures from the party at his website. Although when you get to the photo of the autographed book, you might want to stop scrolling, because I’m pretty sure he moved on to some other parties which were a bit more risqué, as is his wont.
