Scene @ Tuesday Night’s Parties
1) Fresh from his UK tour, David Peace chats with Knopf staffers and select members of the media at a Library bar reception for his new novel, Tokyo Year Zero—the first in a trilogy set in Occupation-era Japan.

2) Swinging by the annual Publishers Publicity Association cocktail reception, I met another one of publishing’s power couples: Soho Press publicity director Sarah Reidy and newly appointed assistant director of publicity Andy Heidel. The two met when both were working in different divisions of the Penguin Group.
3) eMusic threw a party at the Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Arts to celebrate their entry into the audiobook market. Product development VP Deirdre Stone (right) poses with Penguin Group subsidiary rights manager Melanie Koch, while 4) Molly Lindley of Lippincott Massie McQuilkin and Benjamin Kunkel listen attentively to another partygoer who turned out to be just out of camera range. (Sorry about that!)
