Six Promotions at Scholastic
Scholastic has made six promotions within its trade publishing division.
In the editorial department, Maria Dominguez has been named executive editor and manager and David Levithan has been promoted to VP, publisher and editorial director.
Dominguez has been with the imprint Scholastic en español since 2004. Levithan began his career at Scholastic with an internship and has since gone on to work with several bestselling authors including Suzanne Collins and Maggie Stiefvater.
Paul Banks has been named executive art director for licensed publishing and school market originals. Charisse Meloto has been promoted to executive director of publicity for print and digital publishing. Banks joined the company in 2005 while Meloto came on board in 1999.
In the marketing department, Bess Braswell has been named director of marketing and Victoria Tisch has been promoted to director of marketing operations. Braswell joined the company in 2010 while Tisch came on board in 2008.
