(Some) Authors GalleyCat Likes, Reading in NYC

Remember last month, when I ran that feature on the return of Jack O’Connell and his awesome novel, The Resurrectionist? Well, he’s reading at KGB tonight at 7 p.m. with fantasy author Ekaterina Sedia, in the latest installment of the bar’s monthly “Fantastic Fiction” series. Meanwhile, Trish Ryan and A.J. Jacobs will be at the Kips Bay Borders.

Also, you know how much I love Little Brother, the political YA novel from Cory Doctorow? He’s going to have a reading Sunday afternoon, May 25, at Comix as a benefit for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, which is also dear to my heart. Advance tickets are available for $20, or you can pay $100 for VIP access that gets you seats up front, a copy of the book, and an invite to the after-party. (You can also see Doctorow for free the following afternoon at Books of Wonder, but $20 is a good investment on the First Amendment, no?)
