Story Prize Announces Its Judges for 2008

2008-storyprize-judges.jpgOrganizers for The Story Prize, an annual award for short story collections published in the United States, have named their three-judge panel for this year’s prize. It includes former Random House editor and online talk show host Daniel Menaker, Seattle-based bookseller Rick Simonson, and author Hannah Tinti, who also edits the literary journal One Story—and whose new novel, The Good Thief, has just been published to fantastic reviews. (Look for an interview with Tinti on this blog later in the week.)

Last week, the Observer reported that while Titlepage is on hiatus until further notice, Menaker isn’t done interviewing yet—starting next January, he’ll be hosting a series of literary conversations sponsored by the National Book Foundation.

(Full disclosure: GalleyCat editor Ron Hogan was a judge for the 2006 Story Prize.)
