Publishers Weekly reports that Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has signed a biography of Barbra Streisand, to be written by William Mann. It will be called Hello, Gorgeous, and it’s set for fall 2012.

Mann, who is also a novelist, has written non-fiction books on Kate Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, John Schlesinger and Willaim Haines.

According to the story, HMH’s senior executive editor George Hodgman will have you know that this won’t be just any Steisand bio: “Hodgman said previous books about Streisand failed ‘to capture [her] importance and influence,’ and that Mann’s book will be ‘the real, class act Barbra bio.’”
