This advice is coming straight from Amazon. The company posted this note on the app’s listing in iTunes: “There is a known issue with this update. If you are an existing Kindle for iOS user, we recommend you do not install this update at this time.”

Those without the Kindle or Nook devices can still utilize this service by downloading the app versions of these eReaders on their smartphones, computers, or iPads. A complete list of the rules can be found here.
